Amercoat Canada, Headquartered in Oakville Ontario, is the licensed Canadian manufacturer of PPG / Ameron Protective and Marine Coatings. Formed in 1993, in partnership with the Allcolour Paint Group of Oakville Ontario, Amercoat Canada assumed the business activities of Ameron Canada Inc., a wholly owned Ameron company which had distributed Ameron coatings in Canada since 1984.
Ameron high performance coatings are used throughout the world to protect steel and concrete in industries such as oil and gas production, refining, petrochemical processing, marine and offshore, power plants, pulp and paper plants, infrastructure maintenance, railroads, general manufacturing, and municipal water and wastewater treatment. Ameron high performance coatings safeguard structures such as the Hibernia platform and Terra Nova FPSO offshore oil installations in the Grand Banks Newfoundland, the historic Peace Bridge that spans the Niagara River between Buffalo, N.Y. , and Fort Erie, Ontario and the huge container port cranes at Robert Banks in the Port of Vancouver.
